Additionally I also intend to include a strapline, containing a promotional offer within the magazine that is relevant to the target audience in order to entice them to read the magazine.
Next I intend to include an issue date and edition number so that the readers can keep track of the magazine and to let them know that there are more editions yet to be released.
Finally I intend use the main image of a sixth form student standing at the front of the school in uniform looking directly at the camera with a happy facial expression. I have chosen to use this as my main image because it makes the school appear as a social and friendly environment due to the student smiling and looking positive. Moreover due to the student being in correct uniform and standing outside the school it will make the school appear as a professional institution as well as a welcoming one.
These are my initial design plans for my soon to be created school magazine front cover, I may not apply all of these ideas to my final production however I will use it as the foundation for the design of my magazine front cover.
Firstly I intend to use a pug in order to entice the potential readers to read through the magazine.
Secondly I intend to use a seriff text type for my masthead in order to make the magazine appear professional and sophisticated.
Thirdly I intend to display the school logo within the top right hand corner of the front cover in order to further the professionalism of my magazine whilst also making it memorable.
Moreover I intend to add a tagline/slogan to make my magazine appear even more professional and memorable.
In addition I also intend to feature secondary images on my front cover. I will anchor them with a small section of the article they are relevant to in order to draw the reader in and entice them to read the magazine.
Furthermore I will also include cover lines, including small sections of articles and their titles in order to entice the reader to read the magazine.
