This is the first draft for my rock music magazine front cover, I believe that so far it is coming along really well, I have been sticking to what I had found during my research and I feel that I am applying it productively to my work.
However there are a few more features that I still need to add. I think that I should place page numbers within my secondary images located on the left hand side of the page within the bar in order to anchor the images and increase the professionalism of the magazine front cover as a whole.
Moreover I also believe I need to add the following features: a barcode and a price. These are must have features for a resale magazine, a barcode is necessary because it is initially how the magazine is scanned and sold, and a price because without a price a customer wouldn't know how much the magazine is and the seller won't know how much to sell the magazine for. You can find my finished front cover upon my "Final Media Product" page, on there you will see that I made the suggested changes.
Contents Page Draft
This is the first draft for my rock music magazine Contents Page, I believe that so far it is coming along really well, I have been sticking to what I had found during my research and I feel that I am applying it productively to my work.
However there are a few more features that I still need to add. I think that I should place a page number within the double page spread that is acting as a secondary image and is located on the left side of the top half of the page underneath the "Contents" title, I will add a page number in order to anchor the image and increase the professionalism of the magazine contents page as a whole. Furthermore I think that I should also add a page number just above "THE SLAYERS" which is located in the bar to the right of the main image at the top half of the page.
Moreover I still need to include a cover date and issue number upon my contents page in order to give it a realistic and professional appearance, I intend on lifting "Contents" to the top of the black box it is located in and then slotting the cover date and issue number underneath.
Furthermore I am also yet to include my editors signature underneath my editors message, this is a must have feature because it rounds the editors message off with a professional and realistic appearance.
Finally I also intend on featuring smaller versions of both my double page spread and front cover upon my contents page in order to give it a clever, realistic and professional appearance, I will feature my front cover within the subscribe box that is located in the bottom right hand corner of the page as I feel that the space there has been used unwisely and makes the magazine appear unfinished and rushed. I will push the text to the left which will leave room for my sized down front cover. Furthermore I will place my double page spread underneath but in front of the Slipknot double page spread that I have already featured upon my front cover in order to emphasise its importance. You can find my finished front cover upon my "Final Media Product" page, on there you will see that I made the suggested changes.
Double Page Spread Draft

However there are a few more features that I still need to add, I still need to apply page numbers to the page, I will put this in the bottom corners of the page and will place them in either small banners or boxes to create contrast and make them stand out. Furthermore I also feel that the box containing "News" is rather bare and empty therefore I will fill it with information regarding my magazines website to give my double page spread a more realistic appearance.
Moreover I also need to add quotation marks to my pull quote so that readers can recognize that it is a quote from the article and also it will make my double page spread look more professional. Finally I also feel that there is some empty space in the bottom of the top tracks bar and the world exclusive bar therefore I shall use a shap or pattern to fill it for example stars.
